I really hate the perversion of language for the sake of coming up with ridiculous word abominations. It’s the language equivalent of a Nomura game character wearing nonsensical patchworks of belts and zippers... or a console RPG’s story containing nonsensical patches of convoluted story threads.

All of what you said is true, no sarcasm. Your best interests are in direct competition with these companies. Developers SHOULD make everything for YOU. YOU’RE THE CONSUMER. And if they don’t meet your expectations, you go with the competition if they line up closer with your expectations.
