Great article, Alan. I also think that Penn State was one of the first to play Zombie Nation after good plays. It started in 2003 when they went 3-9, so it sure wasn't played much.

To be fair, I believe literally the sentence before McQueary said that, he also said that Joe "slumped in his chair and looked shocked and saddened". Still, such a messed up and sad situation.

I think he'd be a perfect fit with Urban Meyer at Brohio State.

MVP for the Broncos: Marion Barber. What a freaking moron.

I also read that you can't gamble on any football games, and if caught you get fined $5,000. Totally worth it!

"Colleges everywhere are buying these .xxx names."

Really? I feel like every single comment thread I read on Gawker involves at least one person mentioning that they're gay. NTTAWWT of course, just thought it was kinda funny.

Holy shit. Fare thee well, A.J. You mean I have to wait until Jan. 1st to complain that Tommy is ruining Deadspin?

In the ESPN article, they say that they did have the tape since 2002, but didn't have "corroborating witnesses". Not sure how the wife and the accuser aren't enough evidence to at LEAST look into it. Now that I look at the new article they're running, they interestingly left out that above sentence.

So I guess we're not calling penalties on the Patriots now? VY getting pulled down by the facemask, a hold on the bomb to Branch, and PI on the pushoff with the Pats interception and not a flag was thrown. Argh.

Players not wanting to snitch on each other? Football players receiving preferential treatment on campus? My goodness I've never heard of such things, string Joe up!

Yeah because I'm tired of all of those PSU football players and the current coaching staff raping little children and covering it up, right? Yeah, fuck those guys, how could anyone support them?

Are you kidding me with this?? I'm willing to bet that 90% of BCS football coaches make $200k more than their president. This is such a non-story.

The offense occurred on University grounds, so it's the University Police Department's jurisdiction. Schultz is the head of that force. What more do you want?

"But he also said players responsible for serious and repeated transgressions had been dealt with harshly by Paterno and the university."

Paterno did tell the cops, he and the grad assistant had a meeting with the perjured Gary Schultz, who was the head of the University Police Department. He's responsible for any alleged crimes on campus. That's as high up as you can go.

Something that NOBODY seems to understand about this story, in the comments below and in Drew's own words, is that PATERNO DID GO TO THE COPS. Gary Schultz, one of guys arrested for perjury, was the head of the University Police Department. Paterno and the grad assistant each had a meeting with Curley and Schultz

Heck of a write-up, I like it. Unfortunately, Robert Bolden hasn't been the QB for Penn State in a few months, but the effort to put this together was great.

I pray to God there are some Knicks fans there who boo the shit out of him when he doesn't pick them.

Perhaps you weren't fired for the poop, but for your horrendous grammar?
