Ah, it appears you’ve been initiated into the world of PNW officiating! Doesn’t matter if it’s Pac12 basketball, football, or MLS, it’s the worst of the worst.
If I made memes I’d make one of that goal and his celebration saying “how ya like my concrete foot first touch now???”
We have a new soccer fan here!
Yeah, Jia. How DARE you force someone to acknowledge that their gut reaction to late term abortions stems from a decades long misinformation campaign propagated by the anti-choice lobby. Why can't you just let this poor idiot continue thinking that the majority of late-term abortions aren't performed for medical…
The fact that you think calling an abortion an abortion at 32 weeks is disrespectful is something for you to work on, not Jia.
“The woman” herself states that her right to abort is no different than any woman’s right to choose, regardless of her circumstance. Fuck off indeed.
She understood exactly what you meant. This woman you’re not judging, but other women who get late term abortions are. But this is a typical late term abortion.
the VAST majority of late-term abortions are for exactly these reasons. you were horrified by your own ignorant assumptions, and that’s on you.
I disagree. That title should not be touched. She had a late term abortion. Period. When I read the headline, I felt an emotional pull towards this article, and I knew I was in for a bit of an emotional read. You see, women don’t get abortions because it’s the easy way out, or because they’re sluts, or because they…
My first instinct was to comment that as far I’m concerned, this was a miscarriage and not an abortion. But then I decided that insisting it’s not abortion further stigmatizes late term abortion. It’s rare for late term abortions to be performed for reasons other than health risks/nonviability and to refuse to use…
The point of the article is to explain that the choice is a personal one that should be left up to the woman and it is not our place to judge the “reasons”. Judging a woman’s reasons for an abortion are exactly what put her in the predicament of having to fly to Colorado and spend $10k on a shot.
This article tells us what happens when women have abortions that late. This is why late-term abortion needs to remain legal. Women are not deciding on a whim to have abortions at 32 weeks. It is done for medical reasons.
DAMN STRAIGHT.
I was horrified by the title and then immediately realized it was misleading.
“fuck off”
I love you for this response. What an amazing, heart-breaking interview. Currently posting it everywhere. <3
I have never loved any reply of yours more than I do this one right now.
Any reason is reason enough. It is not your choice to make nor is any woman’s situation your business. The Supreme Court applied a core constitutional principle of privacy and liberty to a woman’s ability to terminate a pregnancy.
How was this misleading? She did indeed have a 32 week abortion. The difference is that her baby was not viable and she had to go through the rest of that before she had what is an abortion.
