Get smaller wheels, put larger all-terrain tires on them, and add rally lights. Then people will be more concerned with what drugs you’re using (and if you’d be kind enough to share) rather than how “fancy” your car is. Plus, A/T tires in NYC are actually reasonably practical given the state of the infrastructure.
