I’m still avoiding the Epic store - Satisfactory was tempting, but not enough for me to install yet another game store, and one of questionable parentage. This game looks right up my alley, though.

You have been colonized by the reverse racism meme, currently most popular in slogan format, “Reverse racism: it’s just racism!” It’s semantically defensible, but like most semantic arguments, it’s a distraction from and obstacle to real discussion of the issue. In this case, the meme was deployed in opposition to the

If you prefer Constitutional rule to Bible law, maybe stop using the term “unborn.” It’s not just nonsense; it’s propaganda for restricting women’s rights (in this case, literally imprisoning a woman over the results of her pregnancy) and opportunities.

Every time you use the oxymoron “unborn baby,” you’re helping the theocrats draw the lines on the playing field. If you quote someone using the term, especially in repeated variations as the officer did, you need to point out that they are engaging in propaganda to promote a conformist social agenda, not take their

My issue with ThinkGeek has always been the dollar store quality of the vast majority of their stuff, especially at the prices they charge. I like the concept of a lot of their stuff, but it’s generally chintzy looking and destined to break in a week.

My guess would be defense. Seems like they had quite a bit of loot for five households, and the scale of trade suggested by the diversity of goods means they weren’t the only folks around.

I got the newer model of the Anker truly wireless buds (Soundcore Liberty Neo), and they’re great. Big upgrade in sound quality, comfort and convenience (the extra battery in the case is great peace of mind), vs. my Taotronics tethered BT buds. I felt some buyer’s remorse before they arrived (I already have BT buds, I

I grabbed the Anker Soundcore Liberty Neos for $60 this week, and so far they’re great. Much better sound quality than my cheap tethered bluetooth earbuds, comfortable enough I forget they’re there, no issues with staying put (though I haven’t taken them to the gym yet), connect when you pull them out of the case,

Funny, I would have said this season, and the show in general, has been credible. Like its crew, it muddles along and doesn’t mess anything up too badly.

You are just coming across as someone with an axe to grind. Thermal runaway is not exactly common, whereas batteries potentially subject to it are very common. What makes a battery harder to shield from puncture than a probably larger volume tub of combustible fluid, which is also circulating through the machine?

One simple way to increase activity is to seek rather than avoid exertion in everyday tasks. A lot of people are running an avoid-effort algorithm without giving it much thought, thinking they’re making their lives easier when they’re really killing themselves.

So are you trying to make the case that a battery is a greater fire hazard than a tank of gasoline?

I’ll give ‘er a go. Just recently started picking up podcasts as an extension of my audiobook / NPR habit. So far it’s just Welcome to Nightvale and random episodes of different sci-fi, science or history podcasts. So far all the non-fiction ones I’ve found are pretty shallow. I’d love to find one that digs a little

Steam did let me buy it, and it’s good stuff. Don’t know how often I’ll pick it up, but it’s definitely worth the price of admission.

I clicked “Add to Cart” and the Steam store shit the bed. It’s still spitting out errors half an hour later.

True, we can give up this all-different-length-months-and-a-leap-year bullshit any time and go lunar like all the countries that are good at math.

Why didn’t they cash in on all that ASCII art money?!?!?! What about all those reddit points people got talking about Dorfortrez?!?!?! How they leave all these internet dollars on the table?!?!?!

Really? Show me an American who is happy with the steps they have to take to receive health care and/or their ability to predict what pursuing health care will cost them. Look at the statistics for life expectancy and infant mortality, and tell me our system “works well,” compared to nations with a fraction of the

Or rich people should (and many do) recognize that their wealth is founded on infrastructure and cached in “externalities” that often have human faces. “Rich people” are more intertwined with and dependent upon the commons than anyone managing less capital. The problem is all the temporarily embarrassed millionaires
