They also have to offer to buy back and destroy every noncompliant device... This is going to cost them far more than they ever made in profit

It sounds like you’re thinking of a gear indicator, which I’m not sure the Si has (Type R does). The shift indicator is the row of LEDs above the display and it does make it easier to tell when redline is coming without actually looking down at the gauges
The first part of what they did makes sense. Where they screwed up was arresting her and impounding the car before doing any other follow up work to see if they had the right person
Rear motor mount is a very easy fix. Diffs and clutch wear are from repeated hard launching and bad drivers. Shorter oil change intervals take care of the timing chain/VVT issues
I think the lack of a manual transmission option in the C8 is definitely a factor here. Second owners tend to be younger enthusiasts who want three pedals
Mine.
My F10 535d x-drive. Quiet, comfortable, great fuel economy. Also capable of 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and perfectly happy cruising at well over 100mph if you’re willing to take that risk.
When it comes to Hondas, other factors are more important than miles.
~180 rwhp is enough - in my CBR (~580lbs with me on it). No complaints
“This includes consideration for not only modern trends, but modern safety and fuel economy regulations”
To be fair, the parts supply chain still hasn’t fully recovered from the COVID years. My F10 535d has been in the shop waiting for parts since January. I’ve even seen Honda Accords and Toyota Tacomas waiting many months for parts
“Helicopters are the most commonly used airborne vehicle used to monitor road speeds”
Age is only one factor. Here’s 76 year old Walter Rohrl driving a “very comfortable” lap of the Nurburgring in a GT3 RS... I’d still trust him on the street in a Z06 far more than I trust the average Z06 owner.
There is no limit.
“Hybrid” doesn’t bother me. No analog tach is disappointing. No manual transmission is an absolute deal breaker
This is the perfect application for a potholed 335D
±~2000 miles
I have a 40k mile ‘09.5 GT in CWP rotting in my driveway
