I didn’t bother reading the rest

As I understand it, accredited diplomats can pretty much import and drive whatever the fuck they want. According to the screenshot below, from oas.org, they’re supposed to state whether or not safety and pollution standards are met, but there doesn’t appear to be any additional requirement to remedy noncompliance

This is NOT an R32-powered Scirocco. It’s a Scirocco-bodied R32 with the R32 VIN retained... Either that or it’s definitely NOT legal and will forever be at risk of being seized and crushed

The simple answer is to avoid damage from overcharging (overvoltage)

I enjoy the work so, if I had the space, I would love to get a deal on a car in this condition. Build it, put a few miles on it, sell it.

My experience was very different

My wife drove an SC2 for the first few years I knew her. Based on that experience, this car is worth roughly zero dollars

Anyone happen to know how California determines whether or not something must be labeled as causing cancer? It’s good to be aware of things with high risk but labeling damn near everything kinda makes the label lose its effectiveness

I’m not voting on this one

MGB: I’ve heard that a built Rover V8 making 220 or 240hp is already pushing it for the MGB chassis and brakes. The ad mentions upgraded disk brakes but, yeah, 320hp is still gonna be way too much

More than 1/2" from ride height to a hard composite jounce block

I have one question of critical importance: have they, at the very least, improved their corrosion issues?

But it could be sooo much better without the stance influence

People who can actually afford a $60k vehicle won’t borrow at Ford’s default calculator rates. My credit union is advertising 5.74% up to 63 months and I’ve always been able to beat their advertised rates; I’m confident I could get closer to 4%, if not less, for 60 months

If it didn’t have holes cut in the hood and was listed locally for ~$15k I’d check it out

Here’s an explanation of why this fine system is fucked:

Driving a Jeep trail in West Virginia - in a Mazdaspeed 6 - ranks among the most fun things I’ve ever done in any vehicle. The few bigger obstacles really tore up my lower bumper and undertray but it was well worth it to slide around in the dirt and gravel for a couple hours

Why does this ~$40k car cost so much more than $40k?
