I own a turbo charged vehicle that’s rated for 29 MPG combined (26 city/36 highway). Over the last 5 years and 70,000+ miles it averaged just a hair over 34 MPG.

The EQS should have looked more like this and less like a really big Civic

+1... My ‘14 535D x-drive weighs ~4260lbs and is rated at 255hp. Before tuning to bump the power it did 0-60 in 5.4 seconds and the quarter mile in 14.2@97. Both faster times than a V6 Camry, although trap speed is ~2mph lower, despite the extra 700lbs and almost 50 fewer hp.

Here are some additional numbers for context:

A few years back I took a short road trip to get my car tuned by an expert on the platform. As my (black) car was being strapped to the dyno I received an urgent call from my wife - the stray cat we took in had gone into labor! The first kitten was all black, to match my car, and was literally born while my car was

The big Lambos have those doors because they need them. On top of being 6” wider than the Huracan, Aventador passengers sit farther inboard and lower, and the lower body work extends pretty far beyond the door, so a traditional door would have to open to a significantly wider angle to be functional. The automotive engineer in me doesn’t like this test for too many reasons to mention in one comment, so I’m going to focus on just one thing not so much related to the test method:

That’s also B.S... I don’t have time to look it up so I can’t say this with 100% certainty, but I’m pretty sure the rule doesn’t end with “unless you can come up with an excuse for why you do it

If it ain’t broke...

I replayed the Monza incident at least 30 times trying to look at it objectively from both sides and it’s pretty damn close to a 50/50 racing incident. The post-incident comment from Max suggesting intent was really the main evidence I saw swaying it towards being his fault, and both cars were taken out so there were

Why does it look like a scaled up Korean knock off version of a Civic?

Which is unfortunate because, as much as I don’t like many of the things he does, he deserves it more than Hamilton this season. Without the 32 point swing from Hamilton punting him off at Silverstone he’d only be 12 points from clinching the title. Add in the points he likely would have earned in Hungary had Bottas

Helio Castroneves in his 2000 CART car: 1:07.722

Penalties aren’t given based on the outcome, but whether or not you actually cause a collision matters

If you had one of these engines in your back pocket, what would you stick it in?

I got mine for ~$70 each from FCP Euro and they’re covered by a lifetime replacement guarantee

Put Mazepin in a Mercedes and Hamilton in a Haas (2021 cars) for a season. My money would be on Mazepin scoring more points
