That clip is definitely better with the sound off. Why the hell does every announcer think they have to be goddamn Gus Johnson?

They sell the Botanist next door, so I may have to get some of that from my neighbor as well. (I’ll be paying, though.)
As a longtime fan of the Caps, I really appreciate that you chose Hasek/Kahn and not either Price or... *deep breath* fucking Lundqvist
That’s a great tip, my wife LOVES rosemary, so we’ll have to give it a try. Thanks!
What’s weird? I seriously believe that soccer players could learn a lot by watching how hard hockey players work at the net. I’m so sick of watching these primadona forwards take themselves out of the play the moment their attempt to make SportsCenter doesn’t work out.
I like hockey, but any sport besides actual fighting, where fighting is considered a “tradition” is dumb as hell. The fights are boring anyway.
Relax, I actually watch hockey, that joke was just too easy not to make
Watch the whole thing - I’m not referring to cleaning up on Neuer’s rebound save, I’m talking about when the ball crosses the goal line on his teammate’s follow-up. Walcott could’ve been there and not been offsides and just tapped it in.
I know you’re going to get a ton of “but what about _____?” comments, but still: Bluecoat. Seriously. Bluecoat.
And for those looking for other gins to try:
Smooth Ambler is the best straight up gin you can get for under $40 I’ve ever found.
CapRock is a fantastic gin infused with a bit of cucumber and rosewater and is…
Seriously, if he’d just followed up he would’ve had a goal. That guy needs to watch more hockey. (Just kidding, nobody should watch hockey)
This is a #good #brand you’ve got here
Did you actually read that report? It doesn’t refute any of the above claims in any way.
Actually the first part of the article seems to do a good job analyzing the differences between FO3 and GTA/AC. The fact that BethSoft games make every character/place/event as unique as possible while GTA/AC deliberately divide the side quests into what are essentially mini-games is a critical difference between…
I feel like I just got trolled pretty hard. This isn’t an article about how Fallout 3 isn’t an RPG. This is an article about how Fallout 3 isn’t GTA/AC and then suddenly and with no actual argument, the author declares Fallout 3 is “a sim” and not an RPG. Uh. Guys. D&D gave birth to the D&D genre... AND it just so…
What? You’re missing the part where you actually play a character that you have AGENCY over. Where you’re not just pressing buttons to help the hero get from prescribed scene A to prescribed scene B. You actually get to DECIDE to some effect what that character does and how they behave.
It feels like this was written originally to argue that Fallout 3 sets the standard for open-world games (would’ve been a MUCH more interesting/useful piece of criticism/analysis had that been the case), and then some editor said, “We’ll get more clicks if we throw some bits in at the end that say Fallout 3 isn’t an…
Yes but also no. The author should’ve compared FO3 to other RPGs, but I think you’re thinking too conservatively when you think of those games as “true RPGs”. Why does “RPG structure” in a video game have to be turn-based?
He always had a tremendous ability to get out of the way, or to help a promo move forward, he acted like talking to these lunatics was the most normal thing in the world and that’s why it worked so well.
Mean Gene is, as usual, the best interviewer pro wrestling has ever had or ever will have. Interviewing somebody like Savage or Piper was an impossible task, but he somehow rolled with it better than anybody. The UCB Improv should do seminars just on him.
I love the part of this article where in the comments, people tell the 60 year boxing veteran and former manager of 5 world champions who Floyd Mayweather Jr. is as if he hasn’t considered him at all.
