Whether you loved or hated the story and its messages, it is hard to imagine somebody arguing effectively and in good faith that The Last of Us Part II was anything less than exceptionally well-made and well-written.

this is about halfway through the second ‘season’ of DLC fighters. min min and “steve” from minecraft were the first entries. I think we have three more.
He's the 3rd character in the 2nd batch of new characters. I think there are 3 more coming.
‘Midwestern City Obviously Inspired By, But Not Actually, Chicago’
I’ll bet you a dollar we could switch a wisecracking street grifter with an ivy league stockbroker and they’d, well, I forget the point but it’d be a laugh riot.
No it’s not. Godwin’s Law is simply a proposition of the likelihood that Hitler/nazis will get mentioned. It says nothing about how relevant and valid the mention of Hitler/nazis may be.
That’s funny coming from a video game executive, considering game companies (and especially hardware manufacturers) specifically cultivated fanboy tribalism to create demographic groups that were more easily marketed to. This involved the creation of the “gamer” identity that has spawned so many incredibly toxic…
It goes much faster if you resurrect General Leo.
>pushes console exclusivity deals and artificial brand loyalty
>is shocked when customer base resorts to toxic tribalism
Yes, this! The last CoD I played was Modern Warfare 2 and playing through the campaign made me feel exactly that: gross.
It truly is an abhorrent series. And I can’t even stomach those interviews with the game directors who say, “We’re not trying to be political” with a straight face.
This is so on the nose. They know their crowd and it's kinda disgusting it's twisted this badly.
Sometimes I imagine websites like the AV Club like those cop briefings you see in the movies where the head cop is assigning duty rosters. I envision your boss (an overbearing Frank McRae type) saying “HASSENGER! The Christmas Chronicles Part II! Was that an eye-roll, Hassenger? Be grateful that you’re not on the…
This is the first stage of grief: foaming at the mouth insanity.
Sure, but to Ian’s point, these cameos seem to specifically reference the original films.
Add Weird Al’s Rambo from UHF and I’ll buy my first MK game in 20 years.
Am I correct in thinking that people have less faith now in Netflix as a safe haven for quality TV?
Oh yes, if you haven’t experienced the bliss that is Tales of Vesperia, absolutely prioritize that over Genshin Impact.
If you didn’t know anything about Rob Reiner, you could have at least taken 30 seconds to Google him. He’s been a highly vocal (and financial) advocate for civil rights for 50 years. He helped start the American Foundation for Equal Rights. He’s repeatedly bankrolled challenges to Right-wing legal attacks on women,…
I saw a really nice breakdown of the trailer that went over a lot of apparently new engine tech. The water physics, for example, are quite impressive. Creating breaking crests and responding to the volume of objects entering/leaving, etc. It could be quite taxing on PS4 hardware.
