In most of the sequels, I think it's supposed to be that Godzilla was killed bythe oxygen destroyer.
Frankly I've always thought Kubrick was overrated. Dr. Strangelove was really his only great accomplishment. I enjoyed The Shining and Clockwork Orange, but really they were glorified B-movies dripping with trippy weirdness.
And, as I understand it, many fans of the book A Clockwork Orange hated the movie.
It actually seems like crime & punishment and drug decriminalization are seeing some pretty rapid change in the public and in what politicians are willing to talk about.
