Hopefully, this will end better than that time an army of concerned citizens spied on a Kansas obstetrician
and it killed the functionality for everything else. There is so much wasted space on the page, and the navigation sucks without a touchscreen. I'm assuming the basic stuff (like notifications, being able to click directly to a comment on the user page, and skipping to see the comments past the article) will be…
Just tried the new site out. Has anyone mentioned that or explained why the menu and headline text looks like something out of the New Yorker?
Shit, those are the real lyrics to the anthem? I thought we had switched to "We Will Rock You" years ago.
The maker of the second one will be forever traumatized when Becca saw him working on that big, veiny triumphant bastard.
@MaverickIsAirborne: You should hit up RealClear's sites if you don't already. They aggregate a lot of the stuff you listed.
@I Like Cheap Beer: I get a physical paper too, for local stuff as well as the stuff on upcoming shows, plays, concerts, etc. I got a year-long Sunday subscription for $10. The LA Times is so fucked.
@vodkanaut: Just because some of us choose to get wasted in ways other than alcohol doesn't make us bad people...at least that's what I tell myself.
@EddieSuttons SouthernComfort: Fuck TB. Del Taco and Green Burrito forever.
Media DUAN,
@Steve U: comment right after and close it there?
@tastes_like_burning: Damages should be available as I just watched season 2 streaming. The others maybe not as those were DVD's.
@Steve U: Just because things "should" be a certain way doesn't mean it will. Thus, the older thread option. More of a pain in the ass yes, but better than a series of "Check your PM/Back/Right back at ya" stuff that drives Hatey nuts.
@Always Winning: True, but that may not happen for awhile. So, can we all agree then that if you want to send someone a PM during the day to send that person a reply on an old DUAN or open thread so it reduces clutter? That seems to be the happy medium and I'd be fine with that.
@Same Sad Echo: But it's a catch-22 - the PM's are encouraged to keep the chatroom type of stuff off of the threads, but you can't inform the other party that you have sent one, apparently. I was guilty of doing it earlier this week, but what's a commenter to do?
@Always Winning: If Gawker's PM system would inform you got a message it wouldn't be needed. I understand the frustration, but some people like to PM during the day. Should they just go back to an old thread and reply to them there so it's not on the "fresh" stuff?
@tastes_like_burning: Good Dramas:
@Dr. Spaceman, Esq.: I've heard it's terrible. I just laugh at the rando comments from people you never hear from that bitch to high heaven when this kind of stuff changes.
@Eddie Murray Sparkles: "As long as we get our PM we can deal with the changes."
