Reminds me of the old Nintendo comics a bit. I loved those. The whole idea of a people actually living in a place that was broken up into "worlds" that you had to travel to through warp pipes was pretty cool. I guess it's the same reason I like box art like this. It's not just showing platforms with random enemies on

The textures do look better in that bottom shot, but it seems to be missing some lighting effects from the beta. For example, the tree in the background doesn't cast a shadow on the wall.

Yeah. I like the other images better. Maybe larger versions will show up online at some point.

2,560 x 1,440? That's bigger than my monitor. Of course, only the image looking out at the treetops is that size.

Thanks for mentioning MoH Airborne. I couldn't remember what game I'd played with that first-person cover system.

Imagine shooting people with your face. Not your eyes, your face. Having to turn your whole head in order to aim crosshairs is probably far more uncomfortable (and likely slower) than using a gun peripheral.

The biggest difference I noticed during my very, very brief time with it was the new rumble-motor setup. Each trigger has its own motor, so you can feel rumbles as if they're coming from different locations in the game world. Of course, it might be difficult to get the emulator working with them properly. I don't know.

That's cool. Hadn't heard about that.

I used to want to make replicas of things in Minecraft, but buildings are so lifeless/pointless. They'll also never be close enough to reality to be considered 1:1 replicas. You run into so many issues with things that are supposed to be less than one block-width wide. I'd like to see this done with something like

Yeah. I almost feel like waiting even longer to upgrade, since I can run almost everything I want to with my three year-old computer, but I dunno. I'll probably get the best card I can for Windows 7 and hope it lasts another three or four years.

Exactly. I know there are a lot that benefit from it, but my three year old DX10 card can still play 98% of games just fine. I've never cared that much about playing games on Ultra settings. I just want them to run smoothly. I do look forward to seeing tessellation in games, first-hand, though, when I get my next card.

You know, I didn't actually think of checking Wikipedia for some reason. Only four games on that list actually require DirectX 11. I thought there would be more that I just hadn't heard about. Weird.

Yeah, a lot of games support it. Very few seem to actually require it (which makes sense from a sales perspective, I guess).

How many games require DX11 at the moment? I know Crysis 3 does (without a fan-made patch/hack), but I'm not sure about any others. It'll probably be quite a while before anything requires DX12, I would think.

Well, that was unexpected. I appreciate that. Anyway, don't worry about it. I can certainly see how practically everything I wrote could be taken badly. I'm actually quite surprised that more people didn't react the same way you did.

Always nice to see reasonable people online. In case one of those PC people you mentioned shows up and starts to get angry, I'm just going to write more here.

As I said to other people, I meant "generic" as "unspecific." His appearance doesn't say anything about his background. Using the word "generic" was a poor choice on my part.

Ah. Good to know. Thanks for the info.

I can't edit my post anymore. I mentioned to DocSeuss that I should've used a different word. What I meant was that his appearance doesn't say much about where he's from. One definition of "generic" is "unspecific". That was what I was going for, but I picked a terrible word for it.

Obviously, I'm generalizing here, but there are certain features that are associated with Jewish men (talking about people from a certain part of the middle east, not the religion). For example, a certain shape of nose seems pretty common. I'm not saying all Jewish people have the same nose, but that by using a Jewish
