Oops. Guess I was distracted by the shots and somehow didn't notice the number in the headline.

I feel like this is how they should be advertising it. I saw a commercial and all I could think was, "Wow. This looks terrible. Everything looks plastic." These shots, though? Amazing.
Ah, well that explains a bit. Thanks for the info. Maybe I will have to try the actual game.
lol. Maybe it was just a bad demo? I don't remember it well. It was on a ship, and I feel like there wasn't much to do except for some boring pixel-hunting and experiencing a small amount of dialogue. It probably didn't help that I've never been a huge fan of point-and-click games (although I had some fun with…
When I first saw this game, I really thought it was the cat narrating. I thought it was pretty special because it seemed like the main character of the story and the main character of the game were the cat and the private eye, respectively. Without that slight twist on the formula, it seems like a game that'll be…
Seeing that headline made me remember this project, called "Frontiers". It was eventually cancelled, but I thought it looked pretty cool (even with not-so-great animation). I can't help thinking this small team might be biting off more than they can chew, just like the developer of Frontiers seemed to.
I loved Dreamfall, but I couldn't even get through the demo of The Longest Journey because I got bored of it. It seems like one of those games where I'd probably love the story if I could get past not really enjoying the gameplay.
From what I've played of the first two games, I think of the original FlatOut as a better racing game. It may be my favorite game of all time for drifting. FlatOut 2 is more about crazy crashes and games. The demolition derby in FlatOut 2 is great. If you liked the first game, the second will probably feel a bit "off"…
I'm not sure if I agree that it's usually better to have more options, since every option added generally takes some time/money that could have been spent on improving the previously-implemented options. That said, I basically agree with you.
Of course I know many people do want social aspects built in. I personally do not. I think that's really the point here. They've got two very different groups of people in their audience (social players and, for lack of a better term, "anti-social" players), but they seem to be catering to one more than the other at…
Oh, I know I don't have to actually connect to those accounts. My issue is with UIs these days putting an emphasis on that sort of thing. If consoles would let me customize my UI to push all the social stuff to some far off page or remove it completely, then I wouldn't care at all.
When I turn on a console, there are really only three things I might want to do: Play a game, download a demo or watch a video from my USB key (or the network if WiFi is fast enough). If I want to look at Twitter or (ugh) Facebook, I'll do it when I'm on the computer. I don't need social media crap filling up my UI on…
I can do without this goofy-looking adult Link, but I still really want Nintendo to make a game with "old" Link. I love this design by someone named Damien Canderle. It's still got cartoon-style proportions, but combined with an older, wiser appearance and I think it would be great in a game.
What if my folders don't have any files of the specified types? I could have a bunch of rooms spawn that have no enemies or no chests in them. I've also got a lot of folders that just contain one type of file, which wouldn't end up being that interesting. I guess I could always choose a different folder to use, but it…
Not sure about having the buttons closer together. I like it how it is on the 360 controller. Probably not a huge deal, though. Everything else sounds great.
What I like about PC gaming is that fixes like this can be performed by the user rather than waiting for a patch.
I was about to post that link. This guy deserves some recognition. His voxel engine is pretty amazing.
Thanks for the comment. That was it. I was crossing things one level/column too far. I imagine it was because I was using the small image, rather than the expanded one.
But..it's not a heart. It's got three points on top (two big, with a small point in the middle). I thought it was a heart too at first, but now I don't know what it is.
I tend to agree.
