Bigger, yes, but it seems likely that about 40-50% of it won't even be used or contain much that is of any interest. I'm sure it'll be nice to drive through or fly over, but I wish game developers would focus on gameplay-related map density rather than map size.

Very good suggestions. I think that, even on its own, limiting the DRM to a time period would go a long way toward making many people happy. It wouldn't help everyone (like people who may not have internet in the military or something), but it would still be something.

The LOK series has my favourite storyline of any game series ever, but I thought Defiance wrapped things up very nicely. I don't feel like a continuation of the series would do much good.

I'm just not a fan of companies collecting data about my activities. It's like if they hired a person to follow me around and write down what I do during the day. It wouldn't be "personally identifiable" info but it would still feel a bit creepy/wrong, no matter what they're using it for.

As people are saying, I don't expect Microsoft to employ people to spy on consumers. I do, however, think it's likely that Kinect will send a lot of data back to Microsoft by default. It might tell them how many different people use your Kinect, which sexes they are, how large your room is, etc. It's the old "no

Yeah. I've basically been waiting for one since the beginning. I couldn't believe they didn't give us one back on the N64 (a game that was "graphically current" for that generation). Did anyone want Pokemon Stadium? I just wanted to explore a Pokemon-filled world in 3D.

I feel like it's even worse now. There's more of it and it's a more putrid shade of green.

That looks great. So much better than the ugly green on the possible X1 box art.

"There are many devices in your life that require the Internet to function". What he's ignoring is the fact that most of these devices require the Internet because those functions actually require the Internet. You can usually get around that. A cell, for example, can be used without Internet if I'm not using the

I'm not a fan of webcams either (and to everyone else, yes I know that's a bit crazy), but I know I can always just make the thing point at a wall when I'm not using it.

You make a decent point. You'd think they would have considered what short forms there might be for the name. Maybe we'll end up calling it the X1?

I was thinking that too. This is a completely different shape from the one in the teaser video.

Yeah, same here. I can run the games you mentioned just fine on relatively high settings, but this? This runs twice as well on my iPod Touch 4th Gen. Then again, I didn't try the nightly Firefox build. I'm not sure how much of a boost that would give me.

16.6fps for me, at 1920x1080 on my three year-old PC. It was a relatively fast slideshow. :P

Yeah, and "Curio's Starquest" sounds like a game for little children.

I always find it strange how people try so hard to hold onto derogatory terms. If anyone starts to forget that something has a negative connotation, someone out there will remind them. Why not let it go? Let the word "lose its power", so to speak. In cases like this, it's especially crazy. It was obviously a game

I don't think so. The original Call of Juarez was actually quite good and got decent reviews, if I remember right. The second wasn't terrible. I think only "The Cartel" was destroyed in reviews.

Looks pretty good, although I'm still a little worried there won't be many good gameplay options. That won't necessarily ruin it, though. I really enjoyed Dishonored, for example, even though I found most of the powers and equipment boring/useless. The good ones made up for it.

Has it? Temple Run has turning, at least, and forking paths if I remember right. This just looks like it's a straight line, although having boss battles in a "runner" type game could be slightly interesting.

Wow. That's pretty impressive. Amazing projects on IndieDB rarely seem to get finished, though. At least, that seems to be the case for the ones I want.
