They still make those?

I'm not fond of the New F150 either, though I do want to see one in person before I make my mind up. Styling-wise, I don't think Ford pushed it far enough; GM as well I think went too conservative. But, Ford is using aluminum and Ram is first to market with a lighter duty diesel that is selling beyond expectation.

We moved about 3 years ago, and the guy we hired to help was a delivery driver for my then-wife's boss's office equipment company. I knew he used his own vehicle for those deliveries, so I assumed he'd show up in a pick up truck or van of some sorts.

It's still ugly though! Obviously that's my opinion and styling is subjective, but it just looks like it's trying too hard to be "badass" and it looks even worse in person. Looks like they made the headlights and grill 200% bigger than the rest of the truck. Makes the short bed, regular cab Silverados look like

Here's how this song is meant to be sung, by a true metal god (Matt Barlow, ex-Iced Earth), not this concocted bullshit, piss poor of an excuse for a band.

That was the point I was trying to make with my friend's incidents but I didn't word it right. Even taking the alcohol out of the equation, it was most likely bad reactions by the drivers. I know people tend to freeze up when something unexpected happens; we saw plenty of that with the "run away Toyotas". But using my

He picked em all up in the 70s and 80s, when no one wanted them. They were just used cars that guzzled gas. The Darts were GTSs, immaculate condition. The 68 was manual, the 69 was automatic, both black. I remember them as 340s but can't say for certain, since I was six and due to a recent injury a lot of memory is

Very true. I'm not particularly a GM fan as you can probably tell by my name, but it does seem like the media has it out for them. They sensationalize anything bad they do, but don't give any press about the stuff they get right.

I don't know how much it's terrible design though. It's not like no car ever before has had ignition switch problems because of the weight of key rings. They can strip, especially over time, and these cars are between 9 and 7 years old. They shouldn't turn off over bumps, no, but throwing alcohol and lack of seat

From the linked AP article:

Our garage burnt to the ground when I was a kid. It was double entrance but went back two and a half car lengths. There was an AMX, 2 Dodge Darts, and a 34 Plymouth Street rod inside, plus a really rough Jag E-Type and an AMC Rebel Machine parked right against the back of the garage between it and the fence. The 4

I tried to reserve judgement until I saw one in person. Just so happened the first one I saw was a short bed regular cab Silverado. The size of the grille, headlights and hood made it look like that dober-hua-hua from that superbowl commercial. It's a very brick like effect that just looks ugly and ungainly to me.

That's really interesting. I've only ever heard VW use TDI or Blue Motion. Learn something new every day. And now to go along with my "if I get rich" Ram EcoDiesel I'll have to find a VW EcoDiesel to keep it company (because I'm weird enough to think it's cool).

Unless they changed it, all Mazdas with SkyActiv had blue engine covers, although they used a dark blue instead of the usual light blue. Still, it was kind of jarring when you opened a red hood and saw a blue engine cover. I'm sure at least a few people thought Mazda had mixed up engine covers in the factory!

Well that's disappointing.

Also, who used EcoMotive? I think it was VW or one of the companies it owned. Can't look it up right now.

I know the Ecotec goes further back than 08; a buddy of mine had an 04 or 05 Cobalt with it. I think it goes even further back than that with Opel but not entirely sure and on my phone so can't look it up.

As someone pointed out to me, VW used Ecodproliferate in the early 90s as well. But really it's just a marketing buzzword the manufacturers are growing increasingly found of as people become more concerned with the environment and mileage. And right now it seems to work, but as it proliferates it will loses it's

Did they use that name in the US?

GM is using the Ecotec3 name with it's new V8s as well as the V6, and the Ecotec name goes back to the Cobalt if not earlier. So then both Ford and Ram are copying GM.
