Don't be surprised if they don't hire back a chunk of those laid off, given they're relevant job openings. In my experience, this is common. Johnson & Johnson does it as well, for example, as they have sweeping layoffs in Marketing or Sales during a restructure, they'll reevaluate who are good fits for the "new"…

Honestly, it was by luck and timing. When Amazon decided to offer the $30 credit with it, I went for it. Then they automatically price matched it (to what, I don't even know), and then they said they'll be crediting me with $30 again. Probably because they were technically priced at 70, and there were $40 upgrade…

Upgrading early is the reason I was able to get it for $10. $70 on Amazon, +$30 credit, plus another $30 credit for price match (that happened automatically).
