    A professional wrestler in a high school gym in rural Kentucky is better informed than our president.

    They simply can’t afford him after he hits the open market, and they doubly can’t afford to let him walk for nothing. The team isn’t very good, has no depth, nothing in the system, so they might as well get as much for him as possible a la the White Sox.

    I’ll be very bummed if they ever move him. On the other hand, if this swoon is the start of a broader downward trend for the Orioles, they might eventually reach a point where it’s just smart business.

    They shouldn’t trade Manny. He has ridiculous talent and is still only 25 years old. If he can become more consistent at the plate and stay healthy, he could join Ripken and Robinson as a great who played the hot corner for the O’s.

    What about their closer from last year. I’m sure he must be plenty rested from not being used against the Blue Jays.
