I’m sure I can find something similar somewhere in my area. I think I may need a dealership license to attend such events where I live though.

My problem is getting a yard to let it go for a reasonable price. In some cases I’d have been able to get a road worthy example for less. Oh well, I’m working on a different project right now anyway. Probably best not to start this one as well.
That was entirely my plan! That way you also get the ecu and all the wiring plus the rear-end and drive shaft if you plan to use them. I haven’t gotten lucky yet but I’m keeping my eyes open!
SBC swap all of the things! I’m looking for a 5.3 or 6.0 for my not-so-hot-rod project.
Well done, all of it. Very clean looking car, thanks for sharing!
I have a screenshot of the original commenter who admitted they’d had so many. It’s not on my work computer but I can vouch for this!
I picked up one of those garage bound cars (though it was more of a “I don’t really want this” rather than “must save car mileage”), the first thing I did with it was take it on the Power Tour. Drive the damn car, why else would you buy it?
Out of the 5 cars I’ve daily driven so far, only one was purchased with less than 100k miles, and I took care of that in less than a month of driving.
Agreed, It’s nice be able to check fluid levels really quick before a drive or when you stop somewhere.
Holy crap, someone around me drives a Tribeca. I always wondered what that ugly thing was, an Alfa looking front but a Suburu logo, and sheer ugliness everywhere. Thanks for enlightening me!
I’d say useful sun visors more so. My 04’ Mazda 3 has them, but they’re so small I had to add a “ghetto extender” (the slide out visor part from a 95’ Buick LeSabre) just so it would actually block anything. It still doesn’t cover the very back so I get momentarily blinded every once and a while.
Same. Saw a W12 and did a double take, still looks like it belongs to this current crops of cars too.
I actually saw one in this color a few weeks back, it looks better in person. Plus, dude has all the other colors anyway.
The correct answer is no. I’d rock that.
I’ve got an odd shake at 65 or so, and a leaky thermostat cover. I’ll get to it, sometime.
Ditto. I do like the sound of the M130 inline six, but my exhaust is horribly put together so it sounds like a racecar all the time. It runs lean thanks to those lovely Zenith 35/40 carbs, and I’m not going to pay Mercedes prices to have it tuned. The engine has so much blow-by that it isn’t worth it anyway. I…
This guy knows what’s going on. I’ve got a 70 Benz that I love driving, would definitely love an electric conversion. It’s already slow, a drivetrain less expensive to drive is alright with me.
I rebuilt some carbs on a project car that is now my daily driver. First time ever touching carbs, notoriously finicky Zenith 35/40 carbs, still runs for shit. Definitely should have had someone else do them.
