I met Finnegan and Freiburger several times during the 2015 Power Tour, super nice guys and awesome to chat with. I like the MCM guys but I think I’d put my money on the Roadkill crew on this one. Either way, I want to see this happen!

Do you have a build thread or any shots of it in progress? That’s awesome!

That is beautiful, awesome job!

I thought it would be a good idea to rebuild my carburetors before taking on the Hot Rod Power Tour Long Haul. Unfortunately, I have the lovely Zenith 35/40 dual carburetors, known for being notoriously finicky. I’m an amateur at best, and two weeks later I’m still trying to figure these things out. We leave in 4

This makes me happy, and hopefull. I’m running in the Autocross in Madison with weekend as part of the Hot Rod Power Tour. I’m bringing a 1970 Mercedes-Benz 250 that kind of sort of runs well enough. I think , after reading this, it may be more fun than I had dared hope!

Wisconsin here, it’s pretty close but Diesel is still more expensive than regular. Then again, if you use premium gas then Diesel is a bit cheaper.

Hey, I’ve got one of those right now!

I'm to the part where I'm putting my engine back together. I really wish I had done this. Plenty of pictures, but just a pile of bolts that are sort of labeled, mostly too dirty to read. Bags and a clear labeling system would be a time saver.

Bought my fiance a 95' Grand Am with the quad four, $500 with 150k on it. We needed a second car quick and it fit the bill. We never had any major issues with it but sold it for $650 a year later. It died about a week after we sold it, I felt a little bad.
Now we have an 04 Mazda3 as our daily, much better. :)

Then the Dauntless/Fireball was developed into a new Buick V6, which was later developed into the undying GM 3800. In these variations, the V6 was shared with every singe north american GM division including cadillac and also Holden.

Now enter what, I will never know the real cause of, the sickest I've ever been in my life. If you've ever driven I70 through Glenwood canyon, you will agree with me that there is no shoulder to pull off on. It is a stacked highway. Luckily my loving mother packed me a goodie bag for me to snack on while I made my

I've seen it mentioned but I think it is probably the price point as Arrivederci pointed out.

I drive one! 2004 Mazda3, it was part metal choice and part paint choice on Mazda's part and I'm sure Wisconsin winter doesn't help. But it's got as much rust as my old 95' LeSabre daily does. They do exist!

Didn't think I'd like it, but damn is that a smooth looking car. Rims aren't my taste but I like how they did the wide body and the paint, though I'd probably pick a different color. Also, turbo.

From what I remember reading that seems about right. There is also the fact that most people just don't do that standard maintenance stuff or cheap out when building the car and then blame the car when the engine goes.

This is all sorts of weird, I approve.

Yea, it's the same car guys why not mention it!?

Yep, this was definitely more of an issue on the 2nd gen. It seems it was pretty overblown though as a lot of them didn't have the problem, it was just more probable on the 2g.

Mazda3 daily ftw!

A few things to note for those who may be new to car audio! On that Alpine amp, 900 watts is the peak rating, more affectionately called the ISL (if struck by lightning) rating. A more accurate measure is the RMS rating, of which this amp puts out 100watts to all four channels. Another thing to consider is this; that
