Kim Potter, a 26-year veteran, did NOT “mix up” her GLOCK and X3.

did Shell ever leave? I mean I just charged my car with greenlots

Most of the larger oil companies do support a carbon tax now. This type of article is ok, but not really contributing much to the dialog. Oil companies bad... Yawn.

Yes, because economies and vehicles don’t run on farts and rainbows, sorry Dharna.

You might need to call a psychologist, your fear is deep in the irrational territory

I mean this extremely sincerely, this isn’t an insult: if you don’t think you will ever eat in a restaurant again, you should talk to a therapist. That is not a healthy reaction at all.

This articles is an prime example of why people have zero idea how to curb oil consumption, and just like to complain... the laptop they are writing on has so much god damn oil products inside, and oil has been used in every step to make, ship, and even recycle these devices they are using to make a living... they

Mike Rowe has grown increasingly tiresome over the years and I’m certainly no friend of oil companies, but you are INCREDIBLY naive if you think the reach of petrochemicals only extends in any significance into fuel for power generation. Without petrochemical processing you lose out on raw materials involved in all

Only an 18% increase in cardiovascular disease from eating out twice a day (which is a lot), versus eating out less than once per week?  That’s actually lower than I would have expected.

In this video of perhaps only a dozen left turns, the driver had to hit the brakes to stop the autopilot from killing him twice. Are you really trying to claim that normal human drivers get t-boned every 6 left turns?

It is not deranged at all. The MTA is paid for, in no small part, by tax dollars. The roads are paid for by tax dollars. The dispatcher that had to take the calls from angry motorists asking for the police to come resolve it is paid with tax dollars. The Federal subsidies that the MTA gets are tax dollars. It is not

Also, allow me to bring up why I make the point at all. The MTA (and to a FAR lesser extent the MBTA -in terms of size at least) is fairly well known as a corrupt, poorly run service with employees realizing they are on the gravy train and not caring about the level to which they may or may not perform. THIS IS NOT ME

$5b in tax revenue isn’t tax dollars??? You’re literally standing on occasion just to be contrarian.

A: On time is debatable. NYC’s MTA ranks as one of the most -let’s say subpar- in the world. My city’s system (mbta) is even worse IIRC.

Most of the money they receive is not from fares. Fares account for 38% of revenue. 36% is from taxes, 7% is from local and state subsidies (tax money). They also got a 4.5 billion dollar stimulus payment from the Feds (tax money from around the entire country).

And who do you think pays real-estate tax?

As a bus driver, In Las Vegas you are only supposed to back up with a spotter to watch out for you. Either of these drivers could have done it. Having had to back up a articulated bus before, I'd say the bus not mid turn should have backed up. The bus making the turn made it too wide, he needs refresher training on

This is some real rich commentary coming from Jalopnik right now. Talking down on a community trying to clear the streets so people and emergency vehicles can move around, then proceeding to virtue signal by casually throwing shade at them being “unmasked Orthodox guys”. What does them being unmasked and Orthodox have

It seems like any “operating in reverse” rule should come up against “blocking traffic for a half hour and delaying your route” rules.
