Need for Speed taught me all about these beauties, and I’m pretty sure Nicolas Cage is pointing at a 550 when doing his “self-indulgent weiners” line in Gone in 60 Seconds. That line is pretty ironic now, considering that any 550 you’d see out and about is probably owned by a connoisseur and not a new-money whatever.

Which one(s)? If you talked to someone on the phone and they just clicked a button to send you a system generated quote email, that is institutionally the same as the quote being an autosresponder.

Seems like most commentators are forgetting that most Supra’s go for around 30k, this is just a prime example of an unmolested (and thus, quite rare) example of one.

I’m sorry, but this has zero relation to President Trump. The rally was about the removal of a Confederate statue and the renaming of a park that was postponed, but started before Trump assumed the presidency.

I don’t know if you meant to post that picture of the Supra, but...

A regular cayman s is not going to appreciate in value any time soon.

Caymans sell a lot...and I doubt they will appreciate...not from current 2-year old $55K prices, and not for a long time.

Uh, the Porsche is still very much a depreciating asset. 1st gen Caymans are now 30k. Expect this one to be there in a few years.

That Cayman will most certainly NOT appreciate. Someone who spends 60k on a classic car, which the Supra most certainly is, doesn’t use the same metrics you are using. Does a 55 Chevy Bel Air drive as good as that Porsche? Who’s going to get more looks? Which car is a true classic? The Supra is in that category.

> He already had the license plate, why chase him?

They seriously wouldn’t do much with a plate in a hit-and-run? What are you basing that on?

A) Use your brain and remember the license plate, pull over, and call authorities.

Dick Danger is a fkn squid. lemme chase this guy and swerve around the shit fallin off his car while wearing a t-shirt.

Because... whooooooooooooo!... he’s an idiot too!

I should say I completely understand the impulse, but it feels like it’s in the same vein as instructing bank employees to let robbers take the money and get out without interfering.

I would think that chasing someone down would cause them to take more risks than if they weren’t being pursued. Unless you’re planning on shooting out their tires or ramming them off the road, what purpose does following them serve?

Jamie just posted this from the book.

Oh, come on. I’m not a moron. I know Elon Musk didn’t invent rockets or electric cars. If I was that fucking stupid I don’t think I’d even be capable of using the internet.

Steve Job’s “toys” has garnered Apple a market cap of $825 Billion. I dig toys.

He probably pulls the wings off flies in his spare time.
