I mean, no they aren’t. You can stand behind someone and have them press the brake pedal and check, I guess.
It’s interesting (and a bit funny) how much flak you are getting for this.
“From the front, if only your parking lights are on, then you are parked. Or you should be.”
Taillights are generally illuminated in the same way, at the same brightness, whether you have parking lights or headlights on. So would you also take issue with vehicles having headlights on during the day? It has the exact same effect from the rear.
Well, you could just go a few hours without smoking weed.
Even with the price of oil cheaper and fully booked flights, they still nickel and dime you.
Many of the 1-stop flights only add a few hours to the trip.
Yeah... not helping your case by filtering down the list and posting a cropped screenshot instead of a real link.
Fees are perceived as rising because fares are being unbundled, as the vast majority of flyers prefer ala carte pricing. After all, if I don’t want to check a bag or enjoy a full meal during my flight, why should I pay as much as someone else who does?
“Hardly any price competition”
They’re doing you a favor by carrying you long distances for cheaper than was ever possible before, and at a thin profit margin.
Entitlement at it’s finest. Having the option to pay more for a premium cabin isn’t enough. Everyone wants a first-class flying experience all at the Spirit bare fare price.

Business class on most longer international flights means you literally have a lay-flat seat, so of course it’s going to cost significantly more. And if that costs too much, economy plus is an…
If you don’t think airlines have to compete with eachother you simply haven’t been paying attention.
Not bold at all. This business is highly competitive because there’s so many stations selling the exact same product. Failing to pass on the savings means losing business to the other station down the street who did.
Airlines aren’t franchised like gas stations are.
That may be true with the government, but it’s not true with gas stations, most of which are franchised and independently owned.
Absolutely ridiculous. Gasoline is a relatively inelastic good; the price of it could double overnight and consumption would hardly change. If the price were really “set by what people are willing to pay” it would be MUCH more expensive than it is now, and it wouldn’t be constantly changing.
The big companies will save money and pass the savings on to us?
