This argument might fly if airlines hadn’t been squeezing seats together tighter and tighter for years.

What about those who really can’t afford that little luxury? I’m a 6'5" grad student and that $15 or $25 or whatever really makes a difference to me. Not to mention the fact that when my travel coordinator buys plane tickets for me to go to conferences etc, she is not allowed to buy any sort of upgraded seat.

Offer them $50 cash (or whatever an upgrade would normally cost for that flight) on the spot for their seat. I know people that do this and have never had someone turn them down.

I think everyone benefits from more leg room.

But the airline when selling tickets has no way of differentiating between people like us who “need” those seats vs. people who just want more room to stretch out, ya know?

When I boarded a flight in July and looked back the aisle it struck me that “premium economy” was what we used to call “seating”.

Is it that unreasonable to pay for an exit row? As a tall person I do this all the time. It’s also my understanding that if someone is large enough to take up two seats, they are (usually) charged as such unless there are extra seats available.

Capped your original post juuuuuuuuuust in case.

What about this is libertarian?

You cited a blog on a site that almost nobody has ever heard of.

If the entire mobile industry agrees with you then wouldn’t it be easy to cite a source?

Proven, eh? Well I guess we’ll just have to take your word for it then.

Does having self-control issues absolve individuals of responsibility for their own actions? I don’t think so.

You’re responsible for your own actions regardless of what kind of “personality” you have.

Are you suggesting it’s someone else’s fault?

Then maybe don’t use their browser?

Was it because they didn’t follow the law, or was it because the asshat animal swerved into them?

That’s not a huge difference considering the Fiat will be much more tunable than the Miata.
