Dude, they're doing it this way to support XKCD, so that people will feel compelled to follow his link and generate some hits for his site. If they capitulated to your laziness and made your life oh-so-much easier, it would not help his click-count at all...
I brush 2-3 times per day. Just one of those times is in the shower. (No yuck.)
Dude, can't you see how incredibly fun and awesome this will be for little kids?!
"I'm sorry you can't see the difference between concern about terminology and bigotry."
First of all, I appreciate that you freely admit your psychological disorder which is clearly hindering your ability to engage in a thoughtful, intelligent discourse.
Who wants to have a public debate? Not me. Notice how short my comment was? Unlike the epic tome you produced...
I'll bet you're a blast at parties...

"They" is plural. There is only one child here. Furthermore, "they" still applies to inanimate objects every bit as much as "it" does.
"...do I really need to input the city and zip code before it realizes that I'm asking for directions to a location in the city in which I'm actually searching?"
If you honestly think there's no profound outcry over the deaths caused by cigarettes, than you're either blind, deaf, or delusional... The outcry is definitely there. The government is just not taking much action on that issue. Why is that? Big tobacco has LOTS of money invested in Congress. They pretty much own…
Unlimited super-craptastically-SLOW data?? What a deal!!
.
False. Absolutely false. I do that all the time, and it doesn't bother me in the least. I have a Netflix DVD account, and every disc I get, I rip, transcode, import into iTunes, and properly label the metadata. It's pretty simple, if you're not totally lazy.
