Regarding your observation about the software marketing at Apple's website: Duh. Laptops are over 80% of their biz. The fact that they show their software on laptops makes sense to me.

Homerjay is expereincing a very rare bug that affected very few people. And he apparently didn't take any of the steps to correct it either, opting instead to whine and scream about it here, as if that would fix it.

When I was nine, my dad let me read The Lottery. I cried, and got very upset for a day or two. Not a good read for a child... Lol :)

So, by "hoax", you mean that it's actually NOT a guy in a goat costume? Because all the reports make it abundantly clear that everyone believes it's definitely a man in a costume...

Ummm, this is a film review; not breaking news coverage. Have your candlelight prayer-vigil somewhere else.

So just to recap, you completely ignored the valid arguments made by Waldensamkeit which effectively refuted your blind patriotism ('MURICA!!!).

Ah ha! Yes, That's a MUCH better photo... Thanks!

And apparently one of those sets of stairs is magically invisible...

The calling rule works well for apartment hunting, but for the rest of CL? No way. I don't want to randomly give out my phone number to strangers just to sell this lamp or stack of video games. If I'm selling something, EMAIL me. No way am I letting you call me. I'll call you once we strike the deal...

No hard feelings. :)

Whoa whoa whoa; what the heck are you so worked up about? I don't give a crap about what Google did or didn't promise; I was just providing the obvious answer to the question that was asked. Why are you talking about outrage?? I have no outrage, or even annoyance, about anything. You're barking up the wrong tree,

The "promises" were all in that silly video that came out some months ago, with the guy that meets his friend at the bookstore then goes on a roof and calls his gf. Remember that promotional video? THOSE were the promises...
