As much as I appreciate the facetiousness of the article, I feel like it could’ve been lent more credence with the insistence that Ming-Na Wen been included in the cast in some capacity.

Well in all the press about the movie so far, they’ve been pushing him as the protagonist pretty hard. As much as I think it would be awesome if it was a fake out, I have significant doubts to that being the case. Not everyone has the balls to pull an Iron Man 3.

Well, I meant the path she intended for herself. But yeah, I have to agree. She needs something, not necessarily a blockbuster role, but a proper vehicle to showcase what kind of range she actually has, before I write her off though.

Yeah, she started fairly young so I assume many of those early roles were chosen for her to a heavy degree. But I agree, glad to know (as much as I can know) that she hasn’t been screwed up by the process.

Yeah, they tried to stick to the game plot more heavily with the 95 movie. Not unexpected though. The Street Fighter movie made Guile the protagonist and abandoned the background/motivations for most of the characters and they saw how badly that went for them.

I can’t understand CGM’s career path. Odd choices like that Louie C.K film and that Max Landis one. But other high profile films like the Kick-Ass films, Carrie, and this one. It’s just not a clear trajectory to me what she wants her career to be like.
