Makes me wish there was a way to get out there for it.

My brother pretends to be a Jehovah’s Witness and invites them in. They typically decline.

One of my sons cannot exist in a space without touching things in that space. I do not blame them for wanting to keep him out.

I spent my freshman year of college at BYU Idaho, which at the time was still called Ricks College. I knew I wasn’t going to go on a mission, which when found out, made me a fucking pariah at that school. Literally the only converstation anyone would have with me was, “Why aren’t you going on your mission?”

Thank you. I really appreciate this more than you might believe.

Yeah, based on the replies I’m getting here, I’m beginning to think I was intentionally misinformed on how to get my name removed.

My mom sent them to my brother once. He threatened to never talk to them again if it happened again. They know better than to do that now.

My parents have been Mormon their whole lives. Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for better parents either. When I left the church, they were sad, but didn’t push it. Nowadays, we just don’t talk about church stuff, and it’s okay. It’s just part of their lives that isn’t part of mine.

Maybe the process is different from when I left. I dunno. Bleh.

It’s not super often that it happens, just that it’s always a possibility is what gripes me. It was a long time ago, so I don’t remember the exact process I went through, but I have on multiple occassions made it clear to the members of the church I have talked to that I am in no way a member of the Mormon faith.

I’m not inclined to take it out on the missionaries that show up at my door. They’re young and just doing what they’re told. They tend to show up about every other year. Last time I told them to make it clear to their higher ups that if they sent someone to my home again I would call the police on them. That seemed to

Anybody in your family been a member?

I grew up in this religion. I left it 15 years ago. To this day, I still have missionaries show up at my door asking why I’m still choosing to be inactive.

There’s a decent chance he has some kind of mental illness and may just believe that is his name. That, or he really hates William Holton and is trying to frame him for assault.

Could have been worded better. I agree.

It’s not you. Honestly, if it wasn’t prefaced with “female” there would be people who would legitimately think she was talking about a guy at first. I haven’t been following the Star Wars stuff and only found out her name was Rey a couple days ago.

A quick image search for Rey toys led me to this awesome Rey costume for girls. That’s all. Just thought it was cool to share.

We’re all part asshole really. And sometimes we have to let it out even if someone is going to call us on it.

Actually used to live in Jersey City almost a decade ago. Moved away before my first child was born. Got brought back to Jersey because of a job. But yeah, I remember having a 1 1/2 hour commute into Manhattan for my work at the time. God awful.

Nearby. I don’t want to be too specific lest I get doxxed.
