I could see a Marvin the Martian movie before a bugs bunny one. His tone fits the time.
Marvin the Martian not being at least in the top five is a crime against humanity, and I demand a swift and savage retribution against those responsible.
Sheetz and Giant Eagle/Getgo have been in kind of an arms race in PA/OH as to who can have better and more numerous offerings and stores, as a consumer it’s been kind of a rare delight to watch.
The Steelers are 9-2, they’ve won six straight, and they’re in line for a playoff bye and maybe even home-field…
That’s pretty much it. Our merchant marine is pathetically small, and pretty much always has been. The Jones Act has, at least, protected the tiny fleet we still have, but that’s it.
The police department that shot Tamir Rice has a problem with black players protesting police violence/discrimination. Natch.
Well, speaking as a Wizards fan, and as a person who has watched Wall up close as an occasional participant in local sports media, I can tell you that he is really an amazingly cool and funny and upbeat guy, and probably one of the most generous people in professional sports, and is—sometimes to a fault—surprisingly…
Post game John Wall he said he wasn’t going to let anyone come into his city and end their season. That is so awesome. And why he is my favorite D.C. athlete. No one on any of our other teams has that attitude. Go Wiz.
As an old-school nerd I would love a Wizards & Warriors final.
I was so excited for this years playoffs because of the various matchups, but aside from a few games, the postseason has been boring, save this series. Even when the game gets out of had the amount of very real animosity keeps me highly entertained.
He can’t help himself. He’s played balls to the proverbial Wall since his rookie year.
If the earth were flat this ball would have been foul.
I love him so goddamn much.
Fun fact: Technically, I am from the same species as John Wall, so that’s neat.
By the way, if Deadspin had a whole vertical dedicated to side by side comparisons of local announcers calls of big plays, I wouldn’t object.
It’s an NBA-style move that’s drawing comparisons to what Sam Hinkie did with The Process in Philadelphia.
In the fourth quarter of the Wednesday night game between the Toronto Raports and the Washington Wizards, Raptors…
Washington?
