I havent checked in on the Leaf forums in a while but last time I checked only the dealership could program a replacement battery. Hopefully that has changed because I’d love to score a larger battery from the new leaf to swap in since its the same packaging.

I would get the LeafSpy app and dig into the battery health. For $2k I would probably buy it if my wife needed a car to drive the 1 mile or 10 miles (depends on shift) to and from work. Even with a battery replacement you still come out ahead with a decent little electric that honestly will last as long as you can

Forget the Bronco or the Jeep whatever, I want a Jimny!

if it didnt have the massive hump up front on the pack it would be a lot easier to integrate but im sure they left it since it already worked in the Bolt. No need to retest cooling and what not.

an EV west kit minus batteries for my ‘64 beetle was going to be like 13k IIRC and then batteries would probbaly push it to 16k since I would use Volt modules. a built engine was a lot easier to swallow

and it will start every time instead of hydrlocking on hot summer days

I wanted to electrify my ‘64 beetle. It would have been perfect for all of my around town driving. Most people drive less than 30 miles per day an I do less than that.

someone needs help....

and both of them involve poopin in a bucket regardless

and this is why I support built to order. If im dropping money on it let me buy what I want.

because smart people will utilize the aftermarket to add those things and not finance add ons.  You can bet the aftermarket for the bronco will be solid.

Id love to get a base 2 door with the rear locker but you cant just get the rear locker....I’d still buy the base if I could, air locker will be available soon I bet from ARB.

maybe? I guess its safe

my ARB recovery strap isnt US made so im doomed ;).  Id like to get some dyneema and make a few of my own soft shackles but then I fall into my own trap of not rated or trusted manufacturer

Im a little hesitant on getting something that is involved in recovery that isnt rated or comes from a well known brand.  I’m sure I could buy two of the cheap ones, pay to have one tested to failure for peace of mind and at that point I might as well just have bought the Factor55 flatlink

I look forward to following your build and adventures. My wife and I are planning on doing the same with our ‘12 SR5 Tacoma 4x4. Already got the winch, falken wildpeaks, and LED interior lights but man it is so nice to just bolt crap on and go instead of tweaking an idle ajdjustment screw on my old project cars.

I just installed a 10k Smittybilt winch with synthetic line and a US Offroad low profile winch mount to my 2.5 gen Tacoma. I went with the low profile mount because it has two very solid recovery points as well as fitting the winch.

I did a wolfsburg west wiring harness on my ‘64. Was super easy since the interior was already out.

W did give off that vibe that he was the kind of fellow that you could hang out in your back alley with and drink a beer with... current guy... more like hes kicking you out of the country club for not being rich enough

Im curious about the battery technology in the truck and thats about it.

no hand crank windows, rubber floor, vent windows, manual transmission, manual steering, no brown color option..
