Needs more power.

$16k for a well-sorted CA S2000 from this year is about right. But not with 140k miles.
I hit that button on my Miata when washing it...
Because no good sports cars had/have 4-cylinder engines...not.
Mazda CX-9 Signature. Fully loaded is well under $50k. Very upscale car. Very practical car. Take the extra $15k and put it toward college.
If the V90 is just out of price range, could do a pretty nice V60. Or an XC90. Or a CX-9, for that matter...
I drive my Miata on the street on NT-01s, mostly to and from racetracks and on dry/warm weekends. I’ll put it on street tires if I’m going to be driving it a lot, but generally the furthest I drive it is when going to the track. I just got sick of putting 4 wheels in the car and changing them every trackday.
Soooo...go to the Historics. Instead of gawking at cars standing still, gawk at them running around a racetrack.
How come you never get a spare ball anymore? Just a can of fix-a-ball and a ball inflator.
Dune buggy crossed with Smart car...sounds awesome.
An NA Miata is the first generation. NA/NB/NC/ND, it’s the chassid code.
It has a trunk...
Up to $29k now with bids on it.
Oh hey, Marina Airport!
It seems like this car is a perfect commuter for you, so just get a fun weekend car. Driving in traffic will never be engaging, no matter what car you’re in (unless it has a stick, IMO. I like driving stick in traffic.)
On a fun weekend of putting around in your car and hanging with friends? Sure.
They’re not taking away your right to travel, they’re delaying you. Big difference.
Pontiac Le Mans? Except most of them seem to have clear turn signal housings....
EF Civic? Only person to guess a Japanese car so far? Looking at the state its in I kind of doubt it though.
I see the ND Miata fairly frequently in the Bay Area. These haven’t really been on sale that long...
