That’s what it seems like! In my area if you want a soft top you pretty much have to do a factory order.

If you visit a Jeep dealer here (Louisiana) there might be a single soft top on the lot, if that, and about a dozen to two dozen hard top jeeps. Just a soft top is a rare sight let alone topless.

Yeah old Jeeps tend to be owned by younger people or enthusiasts. And/or they never came with a top in the first place.

The enthusiasts definitely do but they are an incredibly small population, and it’s usually a second or third vehicle for them. The hundreds of jeeps I see on the road every day, day in, day out, are hard top…
