Yeah. In my experience though the DCT boxes do a very good job of guessing what you’ll want next.

Theoretically a three-clutch box could have next two higher gears selected to skip gears, for fuel economy perhaps?

I thought these things were limited to 155, i.e., their real top speed was something much higher to begin with.
