I’m a cyclist and I don’t like bike lanes. Even well designed ones will be crazy underutilized anywhere that has anything less than perfect weather. And I think they lull cyclists into a false sense of safety.

With current technology, public transportation is not compatible with suburban sprawl. Public transportation currently requires fixed routes which just don’t work with the typical hub/spoke layout of most modern developments. And good luck razing people’s homes to reconfigure development to be more public…

1st gear: there are too many damn brands. Alfa unlike many others offers something unique, but without getting a foot in the door early it’s meaningless. Brand equity and momentum are life and death in the auto world these days. Alfa has a little of the former and none of the latter in the US.
