Visions don’t matter. The product does. When Infiniti launched it had great marketing, but 2/3 of its lineup was warmed over JDM stuff. Seriously, this was the interior of the M30:

Yea, in a very strange way, this is way more of a Supra than the actual Supra. Supras have always been SWB Mark IIs or whatever the contemporary equivalents were, with all that came with that. this is no different. The MKV is a great car, but very revisionist.

This bums me out. I want to love it, but then I get to thinking... what does it do that a Rustang GT can’t for half the price? All I can think of is the better interior, which only matters so much to a non dash-stroker.

Counterpoint: $14K is a decent deal for a bone stock FRC. Sell all the turbo shit off, put some normal compression heads back on, fix the piddly stuff expected on a 20 year old anything and enjoy American greatness. When did Jalopnik become scared of a little elbow grease?

If 2 doors were better at anything they wouldn't all be dying. 4 doors are just as fun to drive and way more useful

2nd- What will the DBX do that a GLE63 won’t for half the money?

Is it just me, or so the spinning tires kind of look like someone chewing gum? They give the thing a real give no fucks attitude.

I feel like the worst of the independents are much worse than the worst of the dealers

Which ones aren’t reasonable? 25 in a school zone? 70 on an interstate? Keep in mind big rigs and trailers are currently limited to 55 on the highway. Should big rigs be allowed/required to go 90 so as to not impede other drivers? How about motorhomes driven by retirees? Trucks pulling horsetrailers?

When is Jalopnik gonna grow up and stop crying about the cancellation of cars we don’t buy????

Jalopnik’s mindless contrarianism is a different kind of conformity.

I have more tickets than that, often for speeding. But I generally keep with traffic, which travels much faster than the posted speed limit.

So you always drive under the limit and never break any traffic laws?

It’s not a Mustang, just Mustang-inspired. Why don't people read anymore?

I would rather they spent all that $454 billion to green the grid. The EV segment isn’t ready. We need more model diversity and better value before making such a push. And shifting people from gas cars to EVs charged by coal fired electric plants doesn’t make much sense

Bet this won’t make COTD...

I don’t have the exact count, but it seems like GM has a fetish for building new plants. Anyone know why that is? Seems like it would have been smarter to keep production more centralized whenever possible. “Layoffs and furloughs” sounds much better in the press than “plant closures”, even if the impact on personnel

The best Edge is a Nautilus 2.7EB. But if you can give up a little cargo space, the new Corsair is even better than both. Same if not more overall legroom, same performance, better fuel economy, about 10% less weight and Lincoln’s amazing new design language.

For fucks sake Jalopnik, stop with the fucking videos. The views and engagement doesn’t count if you are forcing them to run on every unrelated page.

Anyone can build anything if they are OK with throwing profit out the window.
