You must have been going up against poor players then, or at least ones that weren’t as good as you. MIDA has a slower TTK than the Thorn, even without Thorns DOT. And that poison means they just need to put two headshot on you and your dead, or one shot anywhere if you are engaged with someone else.
I actually like that about the raid bosses. Reminds me of old school 8/16 bit bosses, where it was all about patterns and reflexes. And I think it’s the first time I can remembering playing an FPS game where bosses were actually fun.
I know! I shared 4 of them before I knew :(
Ugh, are they really gonna make Sylvannas the new bad guy? That’s too bad.
Iron Banner is super doable. It’s just time based. Put enough time in (1 hour a day, or 2 hours for the last four days) and you will reach max level. There’s a great post about how to do it on the Destiny sub-reddit.
Not all of them! The VoG bosses are interesting mechanically. The bridge in Crota’s End could be considered a boss, and it’s awesome. Strike bosses though - super spongey.
Thorn can’t one shot. It’s 2-3 depending on how good they are at getting headshots. Which doesn’t lessen your frustration anymore i’m sure, but you know, for what it’s worth and all that. Also, the best guy on our fire team rolls with a legendary pulse rifle, Three Little Words, and he absolutely destroys. Thorn is a…
Exotics level super fast now. All gear does.
Thorn can’t drop. You only get it from the bounty.
You don’t have to be good to get Thorn, you just have to be patient. I’m an average to less than average crucible player and I got it on my Hunter, who doesn’t have inate void damage. You just have to be willing to spend a few hours in the crucible and it’s an inevitability.
You know, I’m not usually a big fan of this new wave of alternate version toys happening (or maybe I just hate all the super over designed Play Arts stuff), but these are wicked rad. If only I was rich.
My point was just that the idea that you need a bunch of schooling and a degree to do something isn’t wholly accurate anymore. Some things like lawyering or doctoring for sure you need a bunch of schooling. But many companies now aren’t looking for degrees, they’re looking for ability, and while a degree can be a…
You don’t need a degree to write about games. I wrote about them for a couple years for national publications (including the original EGM), without any kind of journalism/english degree.
Man. Some parents can’t see the forest for the tree.
If you stand under that platform you have zero cover and very little wiggle room and you will get smoked. Stand in the alcove above it. There are giant panels you can use for cover to block boomer shots. I did it last week when it was level 34, and I was 33. Didn’t use Gally, nor Fatebringer, but we did have Fang of…
Just as a tip if you try again - When you enter the Hive room go left, you’ll find a little alcove in the back corner there that you can shoot from. You’ll know you are in the right spot if you look straight out and see the pool of water on the other side of a small ridge. When the mine round starts, send one player…
I hear yah. :) I personally really enjoy the sometimes struggle in Destiny. But i’m not above skipping something, or putting a game on easy when it becomes too annoying for me. Games are supposed to be something that are a joy to play, and if that’s not happening it’s not worth playing.
It’s not? What is it? I stared at that picture for awhile trying to figure out what was going on.
Since the modifiers reset every week why not just wait until next week? Rather than getting all bent out of shape, for a game that you admittedly said is fun, just put it down when you encounter a configuration you find to be not fun, then pick it up again when it changes. For instance, any time arc burn omnigul…
