Only playing games on hard isn't something to brag about either. It's a game. Who cares what level of difficulty you play it on. And there are plenty of reasons to play a game outside of challenge. Story, immersion, mechanics, music, art direction, just to see what the next level looks like, to relax at the end of

Oh yeah, totally. People can and should play exactly how they want. I just get annoyed at the incredulity and "you're doing it wrong" comments that people make when you say you play on easy or normal. Because really, who cares? And you are going to judge people as lesser than you because they don't play games on a

Hah! Fantastic answer.

Hah! So, if someone engages in their hobby (which is what gaming is) in a way to deliberately maximize their enjoyment but that is at odds with the way you enjoy doing it then they're a loser? That's silly. Who gives a shit about difficulty levels - they don't mean anything outside of a personal sense of

Yessss! Especially if I'm playing the game for the story or just to see what's around the next corner. I don't play games as a matter of pride, so the difficulty I beat the game on means nothing to me and I don't trot it out like a magic pony to impress people with my "gamer" cred. With the exception of Halo.

Fantastic!

Today, Insomniac Games released a new trailer for Sunset Overdrive. In it, drinks created by a big corporation turn the world's inhabitants into monsters. None of that was public information before today.

Oh wicked. Thanks much!

I gotta admit, I want a 3DS for Mario and Zelda and that's about it. The other games don't interest me that much, so not having a circle pad prop isn't that big a deal. That said, just looked at the screen size difference and it's rather larger than I thought so I'll probably hold out for a good sale on the 3DS XL.

I probably wouldn't get a case/sleeve for it. I don't have those on any of my devices as I don't drop stuff, and generally use a messenger bag when I move around the world so I always have a place to put things.

So I've long planned on getting a 3DS soon. But I'm probably going to leave the 3D off all the time. Is it better to just get the 2DS and save myself a bunch of scratch?

Wow. We have had very different experiences with Titanfall. :) I would write the polar opposite of everything you said.

You will not be sad. The Wii U is awesome and I use mine a ton.

Wait, have you played ESO? The high elves are definitely sexed up in that game - it's the first elder scrolls game where elves don't look like idiots (finally). Also, I thought the main elf character in that trailer was a bosmer....I could be wrong though.

This always makes me curious, and I've heard it a bunch of times. Why is it that you don't give a crap about people dying, but an animal death is a horrible tragedy? That always sounds really callous to me. Is it that the animals typically have no sense of agency so there's no occasion for us to judge or assume

Okay, first off it's crazy that this is available already. Slow down world! Secondly, wtf would anyone but this on their shelf. Drunk, veiny, zombie-looking Jamie Fox is gross.

I might disagree a little bit. If you film for 3D it changes the camera angles and composition of the shots, especially in action scenes. Instead of filming for coherence and emotional/story weight you shoot purely for 3D frame composition. That changes the quality of a film for the worse (IMO!). To be fair, I

This is a weird article. "I barely played the game, but I'm going to make a bunch of sweeping judgements about it." Feels sensationalistic and cheap, even if it was fun to read.

But even so, while playing, the comparisons kept coming. I kept trying to figure out where Destiny fit. What is Destiny's spirit, its identity? The only thing I can seem to come up with is "sci-fi," which isn't really an identity at all. Destiny doesn't match the exhilaration that comes with playing with titans in

This story is great. And perfectly illustrates why Wow (and any good MMO) was so amazing back in the day. Adventures man. Adventures and real stories.
