Oh god, don’t tell me you’re one of those people who uses soap on their dishes. Just spray them down with water and they’re perfectly fine, thanks.
There’s a sign for one coming soon near me. It said “Now casting” and my wife and I were hoping it was like a dinner theatre thing...learning about it from this comment section is a bummer.
I’m not surprised - it doesn’t really come together well. It feels like a lot of interesting decisions were made - costumes, sets, songs, casting - but none of them gelled for me.
“Interesting” is definitely the best way to put it, but I thought the actors were pretty good, at least. The playbill includes a couple essays, one of which said something to the effect of “having men play the roles mitigates the misogyny.” Personally, as a man, I feel like it comes across as “hey ladies! This is how…
But we can all agree that Trump would play the hell out of FATAL, right?
But not all films are “popcorn and a night out.” Do people yell things at the screen and cheer during Schindler’s List?
My first thought too. Unless, as the saying goes, Hollywood was bitten by a radioactive origin story?
Man, if I were releasing a movie starring Batman and Superman, and guest-starring the frakking Justice League, I would just not release it if I didn’t think it could go toe-to-toe with The Marvel Universe Fights Itself, and Also Probably a Nazi.
I dunno, maybe the first time a story like this happened. But the past few years, this stuff comes out all the time, and true or not, the company probably just wants to get the hell away from him. I mean, it’s what Sony should have done with Dr. Luke like, right away.
The problem is that “we’re only as strong as our weakest links” is a long view. To these people, they saw “the golden age” of America in the 50's, then they look around now, and the connection to them seems to be “gosh, it sure was better when minorities knew their place!”
...but where were the spiders?
Either way, it certainly shouldn’t be anyone’s “best” joke.
Yes, it means “I’d like to stay but for reasons outside my control, I can’t,”or at least it always has in my life. I say that all the time when I have to leave a party or a friend’s place with an hour drive home, or leave the bar because I have to work tomorrow, or leave lunch to get back to the office.
Yeah...I always find it weird how people can complain about how few women there are in Star Wars, how few toys/merchanidse is made of those characters and ISN’T sexist, and then complain when someone says it was “always a boys’ thing.”
I feel the same way.
You know, there’s a really good question in all of this - DC has shown repeatedly that magic, gods, and super-science are a dime a dozen on this Earth. You got aliens, actual freaking angels, the Endless, and Gotham hasn’t adapted any of that into law? Precognition is an actual thing that happens in their world. Get…
Maybe Rogue Spruce Gin?
And my ex!
