I know it's not the main point of the article, but this sounds like just another veiled "PC gaming is dying" article. Yeah yeah, PC gaming needs to be saved, PC gaming is so niche, PC gaming is too expensive, PC gaming is too complicated and maintenance sucks, ... yeah yeah, we've heard it before.

Civ 5 — although FAR more accessible than Civ 4 (and also simpler) — is still quite a deep and complex game so it's hard to just give brief tips. But I guess here are some very things you absolutely need to do to be successful.

Love the little tidbit about Raheem Morris. Love hearing positive stories about the influence video games have on people. (You know, when it's not causing people to go on homicidal rampages or what-have-you.)

Steam asks you, in a very clear manner, whether you want to participate in their hardware survey. Origin doesn't ask you to opt in OR opt out. You have no choice on the matter whatsoever (besides simply not using it obviously).

More people PLAY games during the summer perhaps, but more people BUY games during the winter (the holidays). That's all that any of these devs/publishers care about.

This is like Romeo and Juliet, Gamer version.

I demand a refund! This cat is not f*cking!

Umm, he's just trying to state what he feels about his own product and that he's proud of that fact. If that means nothing to you, that's fine... but it means something to a lot of gamers.

Frankly, I think if there's no way to get the wireless thing to work (cheaply) you might just be better off straight-out buying a wired 360 controller. Every other PC controller/gamepad I've played with really sucked... they'd work alright, but just not as durable as the console controllers. After a few months or so

I think there really are just TOO MANY GAMES. Not saying that's a bad thing, but just the fact of the matter. Gaming is now "mainstream". Game advertisements are everywhere, game websites are everywhere, new games are popping up left and right, being developed around the world and catering to an ever-increasing

Why are you giving all your money to Pete Maravich?

DAMNIT! I bought NBA 2K11 and having enjoyed it so much, I thought I would not need to buy a basketball game again for a long while. Why did they have to make NBA 2K12 so damn enticing!?

Yeah, I don't disagree. When any bigwig or head honcho talks I largely don't take any of it too seriously. (Though more often than not it's more noteworthy when a CEO/owner DOESN'T say something stupid these days). But I do agree with the idea he's saying! haha

I know we all hate Activision and all, but I wholeheartedly agree with what the man is saying.

I have a lot of respect for Reggie as a player, but it's hard to justify his inclusion among any list of "greats". I mean, he was only an all-star 5 times out of his 18 years (and only in 05 and 06 did he make consecutive all-star games). I know "All-Star" shouldn't mean a whole lot (popularity contest) but I can

It's not an "all-time great moment" but him making 8 threes and getting 50 points while shooting >50% and winning the game is a very video-game worthy challenge (pretty similar requirements to the Shrug game in 2k11's Jordan Challenges). Heck, he also had 6 reb, 7 ast and 4 blocks, if you wanna pile on the numbers.

Scoring the team's final 25 points (en route to 48/9/7 statline) against the Pistons on the road in game 5 of ECF was a pretty amazing moment, I'd say. It's arguably among the greatest individual playoff performances ever. Yes, I know it wasn't in the Finals or series clincher or anything, but even a Lebron hater

My favorite game of all time. The awesomeness will continue, that is guaranteed.

I admit that I haven't followed too closely with Skyward Sword, but I'm really really hoping that there really are some innovations in the iteration of the series. Don't get me wrong, they are very well-designed games (particularly the dungeons), but playing through the 3D Zelda games, I just can't shake the feeling

YES! I indeed experienced it really bad with Half Life 2. I'm an "experienced" FPS gamer so I couldn't understand what was going on... I'd play HL2 for 30 minutes per session and though I loved it, I simply could not continue past that. I'd get nauseous and sometimes even a slight headache and I'd just have to lay
