So you like being misled by your various news sources?

No I immediately knew it was an artist’s rendition, and also knew that plenty of people won’t know that.

My Google fu isn’t strong right now, but I found this so far:

What? No, many laborers did not wear ties and jackets on the weekends, wtf are you talking about? Heck some didn’t even get weekends off.

I would not be able to work at a place that misleads people so blatantly with post titles and imagery like this. I don’t know how Gawker writers do it.

There are lots of suggested ideas, but they are remarkably expensive and won’t be invested in until it starts threatening the pockets of rich people.

Except it is entirely true. One of the reasons ties were worn in the 19th/20th centuries was because it proved you did not work in service or heavy labor where loose clothing around your neck like that is dangerous.

Are these scales actually accurate? Many reviews I have read of the Withings scales is that they don’t even necessarily get your weight right. Has that been fixed?

Giving authorizations for integrations between web services is pretty standard now. Do you not integrate your Dropbox or Google Drive into any other service?

They specifically said it would work with multiple music services.

This is actually worse for you, it takes up way more battery life when you reopen those apps and it doesn’t speed up the phone (apps are disabled except for a few core features when they are not running on screen).

Hardline is hardly the right way to judge Battlefield.

It’s referencing the original predecessor to Battlefield 1942 called Codename Eagle which took place in an alternate history WWI setting.

I don’t think I ever really managed to upgrade from the top bunks to the bottom bunks in summer camp. Sure we talked about sex, and mostly being jealous of all the bottom bunk kids who were having it.

I think what I took issue with is that many of the same arguments Jia presented could be used to argue that a lot of what Jezebel does call bullying isn’t bullying, yet they would never admit that on principle and they shouldn’t because whether it’s bullying or not it’s wrong.

It felt more like a semantic argument than anything. Like the debate over the use of racism when not referencing systemic-racism.

It is not a problem. It is not going to get worse. Your evidence is proof of that. WTF is happening to people’s ability to think?

Is this just a massive semantic circle-jerk? Like the conversation about how something isn’t racist because nowadays racism is only systematic and any non-systematic racism is just “skin color based prejudice”.

Funny considering kids who play violent video games tend to show less outward expressions of actual violence.

I’m having a very amusing time imagining all you people trying to explain to a little kid about imperialism while you trample them with your high horses (that can talk).
