No one is criticizing Iron Dome, we are criticizing the idea that Israel's retaliations which kill many innocent children do anything to prevent future violence. If they did the violence would have stopped years ago.

Israeli-American here. No matter the history, it NEVER excuses killing far more innocents just to "protect" far fewer of your own. Despite being a proud American and proud Israeli, I am sad to say both my countries have killed many more civilians than we have suffered in casualties.

Fair enough, I think your last point simply reenforces what I am saying though. You can live your life based on ideology, or you can live based on reality, the latter is more likely to let you achieve your goals even when they are ideological ones.
