You aren't looking at this in the right context. I am not arguing about whether this is right, wrong, or fair. I am pointing out that if the goal is to prevent this from happening in the future, this kind of response does nothing to those ends, and in many cases can actually do the opposite.

First off, insulting me does not make your argument any better. I know what I am talking about, I just disagree with you. Lets try to stay constructive.

There are plenty of not-white people who feel the same way, including Native Americans.

That's awesome, because you are solving the problem that I bring up. If the people providing the merchandise do the research in the first place, and pass that information along to the consumer, you both avoid misrepresenting the culture and can educate the consumer simultaneously.

I am not speaking for them.

I think you underestimate the number of stereotypes in porn, as well as the number of people who watch such porn.

Ah yes, because you speak for all Native Americans, and know all their opinions.

God this is the oldest and shallowest response. YOUR VICTIM BLAMING, NYAH NYAH NYAH!

Yeah they do! What's your point?

Boycotts are only successful when people actually do it en-masse. Otherwise its just another protest without cleverly written signs.

Atheists are not the most hated group because of our behavior, that is only a recent development that such behavior actually has an audience. But I fully agree it does us no favors.

You straight up just ignored the difference I pointed out (thinking versus researching).

Yeah, something that society actually cared about wouldn't make a profit.

Except it IS their problem because they are the ones who are offended.

Not the same deal because there are so many fewer Native Americans, and even fewer who care.

Actually a lot of people who think this is ridiculous to get offended over aren't white, heck, some of them are Native Americans!

Right, because not buying it will somehow solve the problem.

Actually being asked to do in-depth research on patterns and where they are sourced.

I have a hard time seeing how getting upset over a headdress will do anything about the genocide or anything about the current situation the Native Americans are in or even anything about preventing this from happening again.
