As much as I dig that your son is so passionate about science like this, there are VERY good reasons why the only life we have found is based on carbon. The reasons are not just that we haven't seen anything else.

Who cares? Free service for a few measly ads that are targeted to me?

It's funny how we still adore screens. Before long they will be so ubiquitous that everyone will take them for granted.

Holy shit I love the Metro UI aesthetic.

That doesn't mean they shouldn't do it. People said the same thing about the iPad, and see how wrong they were?

Keep in mind cracks are not uncommon on planes from any manufacturer including Boeing. Planes are under a lot of constant stress, and many airlines keep planes around for a long time to save money.

Well Chrome in its entirety doesn't crash because its processes are sandboxed, but many times a set of tabs will crash for no reason.

The one thing Safari has going for it is stability. I don't think Safari has ever crashed for me on OSX, while Chrome and Firefox crash fairly regularly (or at least get very hung up).

The point is not to stop military development, it's to adapt it to the times. Modern warfare does not require a manned interceptor. By the time we actually fight another air-war we better have developed some damn good unmanned fighters because they will be better.

Yeah I just bought it and it's really great.

So now I will see "k" everywhere instead of just "b" on people's ears?

Speedtest can report in any unit, you just change it in the settings.

You are confusing bits and Bytes. 1xMB = 8xMb.

You can actually switch Speedtest.net to whatever unit you want right in the settings.

Did you even read that article? They studied a couple hundred people over the age of 20! First off that is not a great sample size, and secondly these are already cultured and nurtured adults. How can you determine with any degree of accuracy whether those results are from inherent sex differences or from nurtured

How do you know we will always have gender stereotypes when it comes to color? We used to believe we would always have gender stereotypes when it came to math and science capability and that turned out not to be the case (at least evidence-wise, culturally we are adapting).

For me the biggest benefit is the lack of effort.

But WHY do they want that? That is the problem in the first place. Girls do not inherently like pink/purple and cooking/fashion. Those are socially nurtured stereotypes, guess what helps nurture them? Stuff like this!

Really? I use it all the time when browsing the web on my iPad. Videos/images are great when you can fling them to the big screen, not to mention Netflix.

You could easily do this before by mirroring your display wirelessly. However unless the app has specific code in it for mirroring, it appears as a 1024x768 image (or whatever your TV can fit) on the monitor with black bars on each side.
