Not really. In this day and age, with safety regulations, its going to be hard to minimize weight like that. Also since it is a lot easier to produce big HP Cara now then in the 70, some of those safety features are wanted. You can still be an enthusiast and not care about weight saving

You are right. The M235i is NOT the M2. It is sort of like Audi's S-Line. A sportier version not the performance version.

When you get closer to 250 mph, air literally becomes solid. Ever put your hand out the window at highway speeds? Imagine that at 250-60-70-80 mph. It requires an exponential amount of power for every 1 mph increase.
