Isn't it a rebadge of a Honda Ballade. How can a car be quintessentially Japanese when it's not even offered as a car for sale in Japan (its wheel is not even on the correct side). And a famous feature of most of Japan's cars are that they don't go to America (Cite the early Evo, STi, Skyline, S chassis, etc.).
