How high does your cummins rev? I'm used to the Japanese I4 turbo diesels (mine is a 2.5 Litre 12 valve; and yes where I live is RHD country) and most of my highway driving is done at that same rpm, but I got to kick the clutch if I want to go anywhere quickly. If I'm on a hill I gotta keep the revs at 2000rpm.

I don't really know all that much about BMW's or "M-badges" but I always preferred the older ones; I think things got a bit out of hand after the E46 M3 and the E39 M5 (had to wiki it though I still find this one is a stretch with the V8, but I love the look).

Whoa! I get exactly what you mean man about the fuel economy and powerband; the Mazda I drive is an 2.5L I4 turbo (Caribbean country; we get the Japanese RHD stuff)... as soon as I go anywhere past 2700rpm you could swear that turbo is trying to compress the diesel as well cuz of the amount the needle drops!!

Yes it is; your ordineray turbo diesel truck idles at 1000rpm and goes to redline at 5000rpm. No power is available between 1000rpm and 2000rpm (especially if airconditioning and/or 4x4 is on).

Three turbos? That's cool, I drive a somewhat laggy Mazda B2500 which needs its clutch kicked coming out of twisties in hills; yes, suprise surprise, diesels do lag. If I get to see power between the 1000rpm idle and 2200rpm where my turbo usually kicks in (I know most diesels to rev slowly so this is actually similar

Maybe you should read the second sentence of the article you posted hehe.

I like this article a lot, but may I just point out the difference between a Mitsubishi Galant with and without this badge?

As true as that is, it could never be as much as a blast on the road through some hilly twisties as a RWD pick-up.

"The all-wheel drive system operates in front-wheel drive mode under normal conditions and automatically transfers power to either rear wheel via a locking differential when it senses a loss of traction in the front. The VTM-4 system can be locked in first, second or reverse gears at speeds under 18 mph (29

I'm having a crisis... because as awesome a SHO ford is, my personal belief is that all front wheel drive pick-ups deserve only one place in this world.

My friend's Toyota Prado had an armrest that I think was routed to the airconditioning unit; I think it was called a cool box or something. Suspiciously, it was able to house a six pack perfectly. (Legal to possess alcohol in car where I live).

Ever lived somewhere without streetlights?

As cool as this is, I'm just gonna leave this here and wait for the next infographic.

Father buys teen a 930cc I4 Nissan March. Kid is furious about his father's choice as his dad paid more than what a March would cost and other "better" priced cars could have been had. The hood scoop and funny grill annoy him even further as he knows it's a slow car. He's angry for the whole episode as the purchase is

Funnily enough, this was the only RWD car to beat an AWD car (and by that I mean the Audi Quattro) in WRC. Audi won it in '82, and as Mack41 said, RWD came back with its last bite in 1983.

Free ice and no need to tie cooler in tray?

I'm at the bottom of the chain in Trinidad; I'm fresh from Tobago (went over for New Years) where it's been more sunny. Sun everyday but it seems to rain almost every afternoon too. Its been a long rainy season. Right now the seas are rough but we still cope with it!

Get some ice, by some beers, pack a board, open up my sunroof, turn all the windows down, and drive to the beach.
