Dude you're missing the point here. Say hypothetically some schlub is being a complete idiot and walks right out in front of a car doing about 35 mph. Do you honestly think it'll make a damn bit of difference whether or not that car meets the 1998 regulations or the 2013 regulations? Being realistic, probably not.

See my comment over there, feel free to disagree. I'd like to get your opinion on having the freedom to assume a relative amount of personal risk when you make a decision to buy a vehicle.

That is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard, and sadly it doesn't surprise me.

That's a great truck my friend. Since Fiat took over and Ram split from the Dodge marque, the trucks have made massive improvements, both in quality and styling. The interiors are seriously impressive, I think much nicer than even the brand new Chevy and GMC redesigns.

South Texas definitely does suffer from all of the humidity and heat of the beach, but without the breeze and the beach part, which doesn't sound like too much fun!

Self-righteous European and American legislators will be the death of the automobile industry as we know it. They've already ruined automotive design beyond reparation thanks to pedestrian safety (which, by the way, is the most incredibly lame-brained idea on the automotive legislation front to date). Now, as more and

Completely agree. And on the safety front, the buyer is assuming the risk themselves by making that decision, and there's nothing anyone else should do about that.

Good to know! I had always wondered what the solution for that was. What kind of Ram is it?

Oh trust me, I've seen that infographic. But there are also many recent articles about Texas being the best state in the union from objective sources such as the Smithsonian. And how Texas is one of the best in business and job growth from Forbes.

I haven't used one of the new Ram shifter knobs, but I can imagine they're pretty neat.

Yeah I am definitely a hot weather person, so our opinions certainly differ haha. Nothing wrong with that though! My family has a beach house on the water near Port Aransas, so I'm definitely very familiar with the humidity you're talking about. I can imagine that - outside the context of a vacation on the beach and

I hate console shifters in trucks, like the F-150. Hate them. They take up too much space and just feel wrong! These column shifters are comfortable, useful, and do the same damn thing.

Oh gosh, my friend. I wish I had known you were selling it, I have an absurd desire for one of those beasts that needs to be quenched.

For real? It's absolutely gorgeous right now. During the summer, nice and hot, good times on the lake, and plenty of scantily clad women, (beautiful Texas women, mind you). During the fall, some of the most absurdly perfect weather anywhere. Winter, not so cold, occasional snow, and it's back to spring and summer!

Then

Aw man, I feel sorry for you. It's alright though, because there is a silver lining! All you gotta do: stay the hell out of Texas! Or, come on down and we'll give you a warm welcome, a cold beer, and a hot lap around one of our many fantastic racing venues.

Seriously though, don't be a dick. We're all buds here.

This is probably the only Challenger with a 6 speed manual, ever. So, I'm a fan.

Hey now.

Leave.

I will proudly admit that I am an Escalade advocate. I love the big V8, live rear axle, space consuming, presence stating ridiculousness of them. Plus, it can tow and haul and whole bunch of crap, while holding its own when you need to get off road. Granted, most people won't use nearly any of those capabilities, but

Oh, Lincoln, where did the time go? I would do bad things for one of these.
