They took his car, so that Lars Ulrich could buy his new car.

Make my day.

That beast is so gloriously over extravagant. I love it.

There is not a single attractive angle to this car. No wondered it floundered with the offerings from the big 3.

@Jamez64: Battery technology is still the main problem. It's not a conspiracy, but a cost/development problem with new battery technology. As it stands, the single most expensive piece in the car is the battery.

@Jamez64: Do the math, figure that your 1st ~40 miles are electric, the last 20 miles are at ~35-40 mpg depending on driving style.

@snorkelingsarcosuchus001: It depends entirely how you use the car. 100+ MPG is entirely possible (on average) if you have a shorter commute where the gas engine has to work only a very small percentage of the time. The point of the car is for the average American's commute, which isn't much over 40 miles.

@Rusty Van Horn: If you're worried about wiring, you should be afraid of just about anything from the last 30 years.

@DON_BOT: Electricity is cheaper than gas.

Stunning coverage, he'll be on Fox news in no time.

@GtAkReYz: Ah snap, thought it was Spanish.

@dculberson: I see someone paid attention go gun education. Eggsellent.

"Of course that was after were originally originally told it would never motivate the wheels ever."

@maximum_sarge: But GM didn't ever deny the use of the engine on the drivetrain. I'll save you the effort of reading into Edmunds', Autoblog's, and Jalopnik's sources, but here's the direct quotes:

Might as well drop this here too.
