Anyone watching Next? Worth getting into?

Oh, it was absolutely the cover that got me to buy this. Like Rob, I have no memory of the book itself but I do remember that original cover because just look at it. BadASS.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Reign of Fire is one of the greatest cinematic achievements of our time. Fight me.

Along the same lines I recently stumbled onto what is clearly a subgenre of medieval covers I’m sure I’m late to the party to, although some seem to work better than others. In particular, I like the Hildegard von Blingin’ ones the most so far, often moreso than the original, TBH. There’s also a surprisingly good one…

For whatever reason I just always thought the lights was his spirit coming back from the dead (with a spirit car), rather than an alien. I assumed he looked different so the bad guys wouldn’t recognize him, but maybe I was reading too much into it.
