Came here to say the same thing. I was so disappointed by TFA but all I got was flak every time I tried to explain why (and it had nothing to do with “ruining my childhood”). But now I guess it’s ok.

I’ll take Avatar over the new Star Wars movies.

I will never understand how this trilogy wasn’t plotted out from the beginning. It’s not like they had to worry if the movie was going to do well enough for a sequel. Then feel free to hire whatever directors you want, but you can still tell one cohesive story. If they’d simply done that, so many problems could have

I like the music.

And then we’ll find out they’re really long-lost brothers, who just happened to grow up in the same orphanage as Doctor Strange, C-3PO and a shape-shifting Loki who was bored and spent three years on Earth as a child.

There was also a new wave released for the Transformers TCG, called Siege II, which includes a new Titan, Trypticon.

Unpopular opinion: I did not think it was boring and enjoyed the show. I would like to see where a second season goes.

Laughed at “Whoever made them is one sick son of a bitch”

Yeah, I don’t see how this isn’t just going to be a rehash of the same basic story. Other than the characters and a few details, I fear there’s not going to be much difference. Which seems to be a running theme when revisiting these old properties these days (*cough* Force Awakens *cough*). I still want to see the

Schrodinger’s Comic-con Cat?

Agreed. Not great but didn’t hate it. You could see it was mucked with. Their original idea sounds better, even if still not what I think we were all expecting.

Do you cover TCGs? There’s a new expansion for the Transformers TCG out at the end of the month.

If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge, er, a giant blast of fire?

Not gonna lie. Was kinda hoping Disney was going to put the Alien franchise out to pasture. Love the first two but that’s where it ends.

Well said.

Sigh. How is this just not a remakebootquel? Looks like the same story. Again. Terminator: Force Awakens.

Agreed on all points. You can see the seeds being panted for this ending and the events leading to it through book 5. My suspicion is that most of this will all play out better on the page and whatever complaints about this season were artifacts of the TV show trying to wrap it all up in a hurry.

That interpretation would certainly explain why an Army Chaplain felt compelled to tell me I was going to hell for reading Game of Thrones and similar such books.

Uhhhh... number 11, I guess?
